Born and raised in the Midwest, I come from hard-working people. I’m the daughter of a Vietnam War vet, granddaughter of a coal miner and the great-granddaughter of a midwife. Perseverance is in my blood. I am a first-generation college graduate with a BFA in studio art, emphasizing graphic design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My journey through college was fueled by a decade in the restaurant service industry, where I worked to support myself through school.
An artist at heart, my passion for design is reflected in my extensive experience in both agencies and in-house teams. My expertise spans broadly — from art directing commercials and designing websites to creating full brands from scratch and executing countless strategic campaigns and deliverables across various mediums. I thrive in editorial and publication design, typography, and illustration. My work has earned recognition through a Healthcare Advertising Award and several AIGA Nebraska Show awards in the publication category. Collaboration is at the core of my work philosophy. I relish working with talented writers and helping others learn and grow through design.
My Myers-Briggs is an ENFP. My top 5 Clifton StrengthsFinder® are Futuristic, Input, Individualization, Communication and Intellection. My sun sign is Cancer (with a Virgo moon and Aquarius rising, if you’re into that). My Enneagram is Type 4. I enjoy a multitude of hobbies such as cooking, baking, hiking, camping, traveling, and attending barre classes. My love for art extends to frequent visits to art museums, and I am always eager to try something new. I am also a devoted dog-mom to Odin, my Shetland Sheepdog, who accompanies me on many of my adventures.
